It’s scary and one thing we can all do to reduce spread is wash our hands. But what if you have dry or eczema prone hands? If you are anything like me they are feeling red and sore soon after washing with soap then itchy later. Not the best situation to encourage more frequent hand washing.

So what to do? I have posted on my Instagram page @drjessfelton some pointers. One thing we can do is substitute soap for an antiseptic emollient and make sure to reapply your usual emollient after washing.

I have a small tube that can travel around with me, you can ask you GP to prescribe 100g tubes that are more portable. Any questions just contact me through my website or via the Healee app for online skin advice.
