Autumn is the time of year when skin can become dry, eczema can flare. What can you do about it?

Making sure you don’t strip your skin barrier when bathing is a good start, use a “soap substitute“. Avoiding products that are perfumes and low or no bubbles to wash with can make a big difference to dry skin. Back that up by moisturising with a non perfumed emollient to damp skin after washing and you are really helping your skin barrier at this time.


Avoid too much heat in your sleeping area and consider adding some humidity. This can be as simple as a bowl of water on the radiator.
